Work Experience

Ana Kochiashvili is a corporate and commercial lawyer with cross-border experience in transactions and regulation. She advises on M&A, energy and infrastructure mandates, financial regulation, and technology matters, providing board-level and outcome-focused counsel. Ana’s work includes cross-border acquisitions, complex regulatory projects, and PPP/concession structures. She has acted for the Government of Georgia in ICSID arbitration and in international tax and energy disputes. Ana regularly leads legal execution on acquisitions and financings, governance enhancements, and full-scope due diligence. Her additional focus areas include fintech and digital-asset regulation, real estate, and securities compliance. 

Ana currently works with Vault Partners and has also worked with Andersen Georgia, MG Law, and Dechert Georgia, completed an internship with an international firm, and conducted case-law research at Georgia’s Ministry of Justice.

  • Providing legal consultancy services to a Georgian state-owned transmission system operator to prepare it to access capital markets and to raise commercial financing.
  • Acting as a Georgian law advisor in the context of the EBRD Project “Support for the Implementation of Renewable Energy Auctions in Georgia” to develop documentation for the implementation of renewable energy auctions in Georgia
  • Representation of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia on investor selection and negotiations for the Build-Own-Transfer agreement for the Anaklia Deep-Water Black Sea Port project.
  • Representation of Betsson AB on its US$85 million acquisition of a Georgian gaming operator.
  • Advising the Government of Ras Al Khaimah and its Investment and Development Office since 2012 in relation to their real estate and financial investments in Georgia and providing full legal support on applicable legal and regulatory issues under Georgian law, including representation before national and international courts and arbitration. 
  • Advising JSC Georgian Railway on issuance, offering and sale of its USD500,000,000 4% Notes due 2028
  • Advising J.P. Morgan Securities plc and UBS AG London Branch on the issuance, offering and sale of the inaugural $ 100 million AT1 Capital Perpetual Subordinated Notes issued by JSC Bank of Georgia
  • Representation of J.P. Morgan Securities plc and Merrill Lynch International, as joint lead managers, in connection with the issuance and sale of JSC BGEO Group’s US$350 million notes listed on the London Stock Exchange.
